LONDON (AFP) - - A British man and his Spanish former sweetheart have finally married 16 years after they drifted apart, reunited by a love letter lost behind a fireplace for over a decade, reports said on Monday.
Steve Smith and Carmen Ruiz-Perez, both now 42, fell in love 17 years ago when she was a foreign exchange student in Brixham, southwest England, and got engaged after only a year together.
But their relationship ended after she moved France to run a shop in Paris.
A few years later, in a bid to rekindle their love, Smith sent a letter to her mother's home in Spain. It was placed on the mantelpiece, but slipped down behind the fireplace and was lost for over a decade.
The missing missive was only found when builders removed the fireplace during renovation work.
"When I got the letter I didn't phone Steve right away because I was so nervous," Ruiz-Perez told the Herald Express local newspaper.
"I nearly didn't phone him at all. I kept picking up the phone then putting it down again.
"But I knew I had to make the call."
When they were reunited, it was as if time had stood still, said Smith, a factory supervisor.
"When we met again it was like a film. We ran across the airport into each other's arms. We met up and fell in love all over again. Within 30 seconds of setting eyes on each other we were kissing.
"I'm just glad the letter did eventually end up where it was supposed to be," he said, after the couple married last Friday.

AND THE MUCH AWAITED RESULTS ARE FINALLY HERE!
I DON'T WANNA POST IT. hahaha. okok.. it's not all that good.. but it's not sth to be ashamed of. Just tat.. I'm not sure how my course ppl will see me if I put it up. All I can say is.. I've done my very best and pulled my CAP score by 0.1! with more effort I'm sure I'll keep improving. That's what matters.
For this semester.. I had a hell of a ride and I want to thank for few people for riding the storm with me.
First and foremost, I'd like to thank my DADDY! He's my mentor and my support. Thanks for spending all the nights with me. =]
Next is my DEARIE! haha.. thanks Benjamin.. for listening to my cries, my worries, my troubles. You're my emotional support and give me courage to go on.
Of course, there's MUMMY! Always doing all the little things for me. Can't live without you, my sweet!
Now is time to think about what I should do next..

Cat's Diary
Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed cold hash or some sort of dry nuggets.Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. I plan as I stare from the window... In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of, however they merely made condescending comments about the 'nice gift' and what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards!
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this 'allergies' means, and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow...but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant. I regularly observe him communicating with the guards in their language. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now..........

Hi, I'm back from Penang. I didn't get to go to Kuching due to some unforeseen reasons that I'd rather not dwell on. However, it was still a fruitful trip to Penang.. I had fun with the guys n gals who were really nice to us [me and wenying] AND i'm so sorry for locking my roomie, wenying out on the last day of our stay! i didn't know the latch wasn't ok. =[ sorry dear... and i slept like a dead log haha.
I spent a lot on my trip but oh wells. =[

I know it's kinda early. Well, my body still can't adjust after the FREAKY ONE DAY SKETCH. REALLY ONE DAY. but i slept in between. haha.. too tired. Glad it's over and I hope I did ok. We were talking abt the trip to kuching after that. I just feel that it's rude to your peers if u have your butt facing them when they are talking to you [no matter how pissed you are] It's just not.. v professional and disrespectful. [I'm not afraid for whom is concerned to read this because she's my old friend and I don't have any ill intentions] And it's also a bit insensitive for someone to speak as if the world is as rich as he is. No.. my parents are not paying for my trip. But I'll live.

Here here! my wonderful shepherd's pie! hahahaah.. made by yours truly. Cooked minced meat with carrot, garlic and onion, seasoned with rosemary, pepper, salt.. Layered with mashed potato covered with cheddar cheese.. carefully baked for 30 minutes and viola!! there you have it. =] Notice I've been using this square tray? it's so cute.. i like this tray. my little magic square.. haha.. 
Sis was so eager to take da first bite. =_+ anyways it's really easy to prepare and absolutely delicious! =]
